I survived.
The pouring-down-rain-thunderstorms-24-hours-a-day-weekend-at-the-beach turned out to be....
rather nice and not-so-rainy.
Who'd have thought?
Besides my ongoing hate for my digital camera, the weekend actually turned out much better than planned! We only had rain at night, after we were already back at the condo, so it all worked out! Thank goodness for the forecasters and their always-wrong-forecasts!
Saturday morning we woke up to semi-clear skies and decided to hightail it to the beach. Example 1 of my dying digital camera:

The colors are just all off, and I was so disapointed to come home with such crappy beach pictures! It would be nice if NC would stop holding my tax refund so I can go and buy a new camera. I mean, seriously, two months? What's the hold up?

Chris took this cute shot of my footprints...

before they washed away...

I promise the beach wasn't in technocolor...it was actually such a nice walk!

The beach was practically deserted. Just like I like it!

Chris wanted Jillian to know he was still practicing his squats, even at the beach!

After about an hour of walking, we got distracted by this:

just about the same time as we were walking past our boardwalk to return to the car. Completely missing it, we walked about another mile (I swear!) in the wrong direction before turning back.
I complained a lot. Walking so long in the sand is exhausting! But we finally found the car :)
Later that day we went to the aquarium - the first time we've been to one together!

Surprisingly I was able to get some pretty nice shots!

My favorite was seeing the sharks! They literally swam right overhead of us!

Check out those teeth!

This was a saw-fish (shark?) They are very rare, and it was so interesting to watch them swim!

The infamous face shot...

Later on that night we went to
Senor Frogs! I was so excited to go because I remember going during my 6th birthday trip to Cancun and my mom getting a yard strawberry dacquiri!

So of course you know we had to get
The Yard...

Which I actually didn't like too much and made the gamer drink most of it. The food wasn't that good either, and overall I was disapointed I let myself get trapped into this tourist trap!
Even though the photos sucked we had an awesome time at Myrtle and were able to do everything I wanted to do since it didn't rain! We went to Barefoot Landing, and the outlets, Sticky Fingers and Cheeseburger-in-Paradise, Broadway at the Beach, and even got some nice relaxing time accomplished at the condo! I already told Chris I can't wait to go back when it's actually warmer and I can enjoy the beach more!

Looks like fun..I wanna go to the beach now!
Perhaps you can alter the color in the photos using Photoshop?
Ha - I suppose I could edit all my photos, but honestly I'm just too lazy to do so! I've always loved that I could get great straight from camera shots, so I just need to start searching for another one that can do that for me!
